In yesterday's post, I mentioned how looking through old photo albums is a tradition in my family. What were we thinking? Recalling past events and seeing what we have gone through always reminds us of what is important in life and who will be there for us when we mess up in some way. Years provide experiences, and each one adds another layer to our relationships. All of these layers have meaning, yet we often forget about them and consider ourselves as being alone. Aside from shared experiences, discovering someone's story can help you get to know them better. I gained a deeper understanding of my parents throughout their flirting period by listening to them. I observed their flaws, insecurities, and passion.

With that in mind, is it simple to have these in-depth conversations with the people in your life? Think about yourself. Is it even possible for you to remember these stories you have, check your photos among thousands of others?
