42 products left, but today Mutiny
Hi friend 👋,
Being able to do rapid A/B testing on landing pages is one of the most enjoyable aspects of being a product person in my opinion. It is simple to set up, easy to grasp the results, and fun. The sole external factor is the website's original traffic source. The ecosystem, however, is slightly different now than it was even ten or fifteen years ago. In spite of the demise of cross-site cookies, there are now a plethora of tools available that may identify the origin of website visitors. I'm still confused as to how they manage it, and it appears to be a little of guesswork, but whatever.
Knowing where the visitors came from can help us tailor the A/B test pages to their specific needs. I attended a fantastic session at this year's WebSummit in which the CEO of retool explained how they conducted positioning testing via outbound emails. They tested out various messages for the same vertical to see which one got the best response. The nature of outbound emailing presents some challenges. Imagine now that with the help of AI, all these positioning tests can be performed immediately on your landing page. We now have a tool that makes these tests as simple as a walk in the park.
Today, Mutiny is our product.
Mutiny is a fantastic tool for doing A/B tests on landing pages with diverse messaging and audiences. You begin by connecting the data to the platform and developing your audiences and personas. Then, using their editor, you select the elements you wish to differentiate, and the platform makes suggestions using their AI engine. You may also track conversions through the platform to determine the product's net ROI. This ROI thing is mostly nonsense by nature because it isn't a scientific test, but it does give you an idea of how well it worked. Another intriguing feature of Mutiny is the ability to create personalized landing pages for your ABM efforts. It's fantastic to be able to address your consumers by name on your website.
I am aware that there are numerous privacy concerns in this space. And I'm still not sure how it works under the hood. However, being able to conduct these tests with your target audiences is a wonderful concept. AI represents the legacy of our collective knowledge. The AI in this situation is the ability to leverage what prior successful organizations have learned. I hope you had an opportunity to test your landing, and if so, you should give Mutiny a shot.
We’ll talk again tomorrow.
