81 products left, but today for the wall
Hi friend 👋,
Have a wonderful weekend! Weekends are for guilty pleasures, as you probably know...
I'll never forget my introduction to Art Nouveau. Even though I am no expert, my impression is that it is sensual, linear, and organic. There's also a gloomy quality to it. Looking at "The Kiss" forces me to try harder to grasp the feelings portrayed. Indeed, it's utterly intriguing. And it retains everything in that period; something catastrophic is on the way, which everyone feels.
Following WWI, Art Deco builds on the Nouveau legacy. That appeals to me as well. All geometric shapes, and the motion that can be felt from each piece. Everywhere you look, there are more of everything: women, technology, and high-rises. War changes everything, and mass production techniques become the norm after the war. And it's apparent in the artwork. I cannot put into words how lucky I feel to have seen the Art Deco Gallery at the Budapest National Museum this year. I was taken away by the colors, shapes, and abstraction used in each piece of art.
So, in my humble opinion, any piece of art should come with a story, and you, as a consumer, should be able to discover even more than it holds. Consider the era and the circumstances... It will astound you. I have both Art Nouveau and Art Deco paintings on my walls, and I never get tired of them. However, I occasionally wish for that era to return. Another Klimpt artwork... Wouldn't that be fantastic?
Today, for the wall is our product.
An analogy that best describes generative AI is a mechanism for creating new businesses. Yes, we are awestruck when we encounter Dall-E or Midjourney, but they are only the first steps. The technology has a billion different applications. Posters are a perfect example. For the wall is simple, you just enter the text you are looking for and voila! In one moment, your artwork will be completed.
I'm not sure if this qualifies as art, but it certainly evokes some of the same feelings that good art does. Etsy vendors should be cautious as well. Their business could be in danger.
Try it out, it's fun.
We’ll talk again tomorrow.
