82 products left, but today Motion
Hi friend 👋,
I feel like I have to be more than one person to do all of my work and attend all of the meetings to which I have been invited. I try not to whine too much about work schedule. But I also enjoy a good whine about how busy I am. I'm aware of all the "that meeting could have been an email" stuff, but it's still difficult. If you work for a fast-growing company, the organization and hiring procedure may not be able to keep up with the increased responsibilities. There is no method to convert one-on-ones, customer meetings, or top management meetings into emails. And there are so many deliverables that you simply cannot delegate. As a result, you may require assistance at times.
I'm not the kind of guy who makes daily to-do lists and scribbles notes all over his notebook. As hard as I tried, I just couldn't do it. Because when I lose sync between my to-do list and "Hey Aykut, do you know how to do this?" and "Hey Aykut, a customer asks something like this, what do you think?" inquiries, my "becoming a great person" effort dies. So the placement of my tasks should be dynamic, and I don't want to experience failure.
I tried Wunderlist(RIP), Todoist, Notion, Apple Notes, Google Keep, and good old Post-Its for that up till now. Each of them has their own missing pieces, and they couldn't care less about my calendar. Then I don't care about them either.
However, I believe I have found the best way to combine my tasks and calendar.
Today, Motion is our product.
Motion uses artificial intelligence (whatever it is) to help you prioritize your work and reschedule unfinished tasks. You can also set deadlines on the tasks you must do in order to assist AI. It's fantastic to have a bird's-eye view of everything you need to get done, as well as any meetings you need to attend.
They appear to have solutions for team organization as well, but it appears to be a bit far-fetched. It's amazing to notice how much they talk about ROI and how many times Siebel's image appears on the website. They are most likely still working on conversion and activation metrics.
Finding a solution to an issue that has been tackled a million times but never from such a novel perspective fascinates me. Although the product's user interface may use some tweaks and it's not exactly cheap, it gets the job done really well. Do not be afraid to take the plunge.
We’ll talk again tomorrow.
