92 products left, but today Arc
Hi friend 👋,
What I like most about product development is that you can always question the way things are. And these challenges might apply to almost anything. Consider the products we use on a regular basis and ignore all previous notions. Consider the need in which the product exists for. What do individuals want to accomplish by using it? What issues are they now experiencing while utilizing existing solutions?
Take our web browsers as an example. here are 4-5 major players, and they all have the same style and functionalities such as bookmarking, history, incognito mode, and so on. What distinguishes them from one another? They mention speed, memory consumption, and CPU use. The processing power of the typical laptop these days is sufficient that noticeable variances in rendering times will go unnoticed. Memory and CPU utilization?? Yes, when you use Chrome, you are aware that your battery will last less time. So, what should we do if we start from scratch to fix the browsing problem? We're going to work on memory and CPU efficiency, right?
Tell my mother right now...
Our browsing experience is now a part of our lives, and we never question the difficulties it has caused. To date, you've got how many tabs open? On an average morning at work, I have about 40 tabs. Having a friend over to stare at my laptop as I try to recall whether it's a Salary Team.xlsx or my ex's twitter page is usually a stressful experience. And I'm not sure what I didn't close that tab in the first place. On occasion, I'll tidy up the house.
Many aspects of the present browser stack cause annoyance for me, including download folders, add-ons, crashes, PIP, unreadable tab names, and so on. I sought out an answer. I liked the Brave browser and its emphasis on privacy, but ultimately I don't care about such things. However, the performance was fantastic. Today's product has appeared on our designer's screen multiple times, and each time I've faked not to enjoy hipster tools. Of course I checked into it further after the fact... I can feel his grin as he reads these words.
Today, Arc is our product.
So far, my experience with Arc has been excellent. However, before using the product, I'd like you to read their values. It's genuine, and it makes you want to be a part of it.
When using Arc, you'll wonder why you ever used any of your other SaaS tools outside of the browser. It does what you need it to do without a bunch of extra fluff. In just a few weeks, it had evolved into my internet headquarters. I don't want to introduce you to the product because they nailed the onboarding as well, and doing so would be a spoiler.
We'll talk again tomorrow!
