94 products left, but today Omsom
Hi friend 👋,
It is a lovely Sunday. Today is the first Sunday that we are going to spend together. Is it a funday? For some of us, the answer is an obvious yes.
However, I recall certain childhood memories. I've never been good at tackling Sundays. In our house, cleaning was always in progress on Sundays and Monday is approaching. In all likelihood, my mother will also clean my room, leaving me with no space of my own in which to relax. And all of my sins, all of my filth, will be revealed. Today I'll be judged. And I've never understood why Sunday afternoons are so much shorter than other days... It's almost like magic. And sure, it is already late. I need to take a shower. It's almost like a pre-week ceremony. And, unlike today, we used to get a shower once a week back in the day. Water should be so hot, but not boiling. Shampoo twice and body wash twice. When you get out of the bath, your face should be flushed.
Having an alarm go off in the morning adds to your anxiety just before sleeping. Please double-check your assignments. And, once again, the weekend is over.
Fortunately, once you start living on your own, these days are past. For the past 15 years, I've been looking forward to my weekends:). And, as I mentioned yesterday, weekends are ideal for guilty pleasures. And one of them is always food.
Today, Omsom is our product.
I'm not quite sure where to begin. In fact, I would say that food is one of my greatest passions, as it is a genuine treasure trove of information about a people and their traditions. Asian cuisine offers distinct umami flavors. It has its unique spices, and the way they combine vegetables and meats constantly amazes me. On the other side, A brand with a distinct identity and a compelling story. In this overcrowded and thoroughly globalized world, stories are our most valuable assets. Because stories are the elements that stay with us. D2C brands make excellent use of this aspect. Omsom is among them.
Two Asian sisters started it, and I highly recommend you have a look at their website. It's not a store, but it's a place where you might want to belong. Even their brand identity distinguishes them from competitors. Yes, it is convenient to order pre-prepared meal packages, heat them up, and eat. But they never bring it up. It's just like a content-based website. You meet the founders and become friends with them, which is quite great!
They also have a membership option, which allows you to experience all Asian food combinations for a lower fee for a month or so. I've always admired how positioning and branding generate vertical leaders, and I'm confident that Omsom will be one of them, if not already.
If your country is fortunate enough to have Omsom, give it a try. Otherwise, let's make this Sunday an Asian Sunday.
We'll talk again tomorrow!
