98 products left, but today Volv
Hi friend 👋,
I'll be in beautiful Lisbon this week for WebSummit. If you are following me on Instagram or Twitter, you’ve probably noticed that I travel a lot. I mean, a lot. Most of my trips were to attend mar-tech events to promote our product and learn more about how the market works. The WebSummit is no exception. This one, on the other hand, has always piqued my interest because it is so vast and diverse in so many ways. Everyone can find intriguing goods, talks, or even masterclasses here, ranging from the music industry to software security.
Anyway, let's get back to our topic. I'll talk about WebSummit in later posts.
Today, Volv is our product.
"Content is King" is an excellent motto in many ways. Every day, however, it becomes more difficult to find relevant and relatable content in consumable formats. We also know that anyone can be a news source in today's connected world. I'm not talking about young guys with no experience or depth of knowledge; I'm talking about actual field journalists. One of the great things about Volv is that it allows them to share news without requiring permission from their bosses.
There are hundreds of news aggregators out there, but Volv does it in a very elegant way with 9 second summaries. You pick your interests, like “Finance”, “Tech”, or relatable things like “Gen Z”; or if you want to be Polyanna, you have “Good News” in Volv. And you are done.
They are backed by Snap.Inc, and you may have noticed their collaboration with MarketingBrew as well. They have a Discord community, and it's great to see that they also collect feedback in the app. I adore their app copies; they are so cool and cozy without being at all sassy. VolvBits are curated by the Volv team, but they also have a Creators tab, which is similar to a journalist marketplace. We are all aware of how Youtube has helped the media develop and gain their freedom. This Creators section pushes it even further.
Download the app to see how you can control the information overload you receive from the internet.
We'll talk again tomorrow!
